Teaser:

Rachel was mopping her floors the next morning, trying to forget last night while Sophia was stripping the beds to wash sheets when a knock at the door sent Sophie running to see who it was.  A squeal of delight, met with a matching squeal took Rachel to see what the hubbub was all about.  Her hands immediately moved to straighten her hair, when she saw Sam's massive frame leaning nonchalantly in her living room doorway, his enormous frame crowding the small space.
"Hey there," she squeaked, suddenly breathless in his presence.  Memories of last night flashed, unbidden to her consciousness.  The way his arms felt around her, leading Rachel around the dance floor with the grace and ease of an old married couple.  She had filed the memory away, to revisit on rainy days when she was feeling sorry for herself, but seeing Sam in her doorway made it jump to the forefront of her mind like a toddler craving attention, saying, "Look at me!"
He didn't move, his arctic blue eyes on her, intense, just like they were last night.  Electricity sizzled in the cozy room, causing sweat to break out in Rachel's armpits.
"Hey," he said, as nonchalantly as he looked.  As if the attraction that nearly brought Rachel to her knees didn't affect him at all.  He pushed himself off the door frame, and took the two steps across the room that his long legs needed to reach Rachel.  "Why did you run away last night?"
"I was just fixing to leave anyways.  You know, babysitters and all..."  She was trying to match his nonchalance, but it came out a stammering mess.
His eyes narrowed on her, making a flush steal across her cheeks.  "You had just gotten there.  I saw you walk in the door."
"Oh…"  Damn.  He kept staring at her.  "Um…I don't know, Sam."  She sighed, unable to come up with a suitable excuse.
"Were you running?"
"Maybe."
"Why?"  His gaze was still on her, intense, boring for the truth that she wasn't willing to give him.
"You were so mad the last time we spoke.  I can't read you."
Sam's mouth opened to say something, then shut with a snap.  His eyes traveled her face, from her eyes to her lips, and back again.  Seeming to reach a conclusion, he said, "Read this, Rachel."  Before she could react, his hands were on her face, keeping her from escaping his mouth, tongue against her lips searching for access.
Her hands reflexively went to his chest to push him away, but then his scent invaded her senses, and she was lost to his masculinity, his very presence overwhelming her.  She opened up to him, grudgingly granting his tongue entry with a weak whimper.
A triumphant growl rumbled from the back of his throat, and his kiss deepened in intensity, causing emotions to well up that Rachel had never felt before.  His tongue swept into her mouth, and she tasted him, his hunger and his desire, and she suddenly wanted more.
As her tongue tentatively met his, she realized that this was good.  This was something that she had denied herself for so long, and now that she allowed herself to feel this, she didn't ever want to stop.  She had never been kissed this way before, it was a kiss that made her ache at the thought it would have to end.
Her fingers spread against his chest, moving upward, to feel the hard planes of his pecs, his shoulder muscles, as she wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him closer, kissing him deeper.  His arms went around her waist, squeezing her against him gently, his massive hands spanning her back.
Abruptly, he ended the kiss that was rapidly changing Rachel's life, and took a step back, still holding her waist.
Rachel couldn't catch her breath, her knees were weak, and her pulse was racing.  Reality crashed down on her, and she remembered that there were two ten year olds in her house, and she was standing here in her living room, breaking every promise she'd ever made to herself.
Sam squeezed her waist again, gently, before releasing her and walking over to settle in a chair in the corner of the room.  Rachel inhaled deeply, then exhaled a deep shuddering breath and looked at the face of the man who was causing her so much turmoil.
He was smirking.
Rachel couldn't find her voice.  It had obviously fled to the place where all of her resolutions had gone.
"Can you read me now?"

About the Author:

Anne Conley lives in a small town in East Texas, not unlike Serendipity, with her husband, two kids and numerous goats.  She brazenly stole her pseudonym from her great-grandmother, a true pioneer woman who raised seven kids alone: churning butter, plucking chickens, knitting clothes, and putting coal oil on every visible wounds.  She also peed standing up, probably because she didn’t have time to go to the outhouse.  Anne loves hearing from her readers, so contact her to let her know what you think.

Finally Found by Nicole Andrews Moore

After reading Hiding Out I have been waiting like a good little girl for this book to come out lol, this is the second book I have read by Nicole and I can not wait to read more she is fab...

Finally Found is based on Adam Davenport he is Sam's younger brother. (Please see http://cherry0blossoms.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/hiding-out-by-nicole-andrews-moore.html if you have not read Hiding Out.)

Adam Davenport has always been a player, he could have any woman he likes, oh and has for that matter. He's got money, looks, what more can a guy ask for?

After being in a hit and run he has to slow down and take a look around at his life. After losing his parents the only thing Adam knows is to run from his feelings, having to slow down has given him plenty of time to think and he knows he wants more.

Sam & Haley have been spending so much time together that they really just want the place to themselves but Adam has been milking his injury and has stayed longer then they hoped. So they arrange a 30th birthday for him at his loft and at the same time move Adam back in to his place

Adam knows what's going on so he spends most of the night chatting up the girl behind the bar where she informs him that she knows he is and that chatting her up is not going to work!.

Later on Sam tells him that they have hired him a nurse to help him get back on his feet, he is so not happy about that so tries to leave, but with Sam being one step ahead of him he has gone home with Adam's car keys, wallet, phone, so he comes up with a deal with the bar girl to drop him off at his familys home in the Hamptons and promises no funny business, lol he tries tho.

Chamomile (Cammie) has spent her life working hard so she can live her dream. She is a strong independent woman, and knows exactly how to deal with man like Adam. She agrees to stay with him in the Hamptons with a deal that he will help her with her catering company.

Adam, the more time he spends with Cammie he learns just how much he is falling for her, he learns how to love, which was the one thing he was missing all along.....

Jen's Thoughts

I do love a good romance mixed with a lot of sarcasm lol, Nicole's style of writing is fab, she takes your attention from start to end. Finally Found is a really good book, its not got the same impact as Hiding Out but it still gets all your emotions going. I love all the characters; Adam has really grown on me in this book, Sam sometimes needs a good slap lol and I found Cammie so funny the way she deals with Adam.. Anyway I hope you all enjoy this book like I did, and I cannot wait for my next Nicole book..

                                                Finally Found Excerpt

After Kiki had gone into the guest bedroom to unpack, he looked at Sam, seated next to Haley on the couch, channeling his inner Cheshire cat. “You are pretty pleased with yourself, aren’t you?” He asked Sam. And though his brother was quick to wipe that self-satisfied look from his face, he wasn’t quick enough.
Even Haley had caught it. “Samuel Davenport,” she said with an annoyed edge to her voice. “What’s going on?” She studied Adam. “Are you ready to be back on your own, Adam? You can come home with us. We have plenty of room for you. I don’t want you to feel rushed…” Her voice trailed off. She looked at Sam who wore a horrified look and jabbed him hard in the ribs with her boney elbow.
“Yes, yes,” Sam began. “Come home with us, bring Kiki! The more the merrier.” He looked down at Haley, “Is that better? Is that what you wanted me to say?” He stood. “The more is not the merrier. He needs his place, we need ours. He has a nurse. He’s a big boy. He’ll be fine!” And to show that he had spoken, that his word was law, he started to walk away.
“I fired her. You watched me do it.” He stood without the use of his cane. “See?”
“I’m not convinced. And you can’t fire her. I hired her. Only I can fire her.” He reached out his hand for Haley and when she took it, he yanked her hard and fast against him. “Are you ready?”
It seemed like an innocuous question, but the way that they smiled at one another, he knew they were going to go home and get all wild and crazy now that they had the house to themselves. Once again, he was being reminded that he was the one with the issues. He sighed and walked them out to redeem himself. He was fine, a little lonely but otherwise the picture of perfect health. Maybe he could use this as a bargaining tool. “I’ll stay. I’m fine. I’m perfectly capable of staying here…by myself. Fire Kiki. Take her with you.”
Sam studied him for a moment. “As I said, I will need some convincing on that last point before I release her from service. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to find a good in home health nurse?”
“I’m beginning to get an idea,” Adam responded angrily. “After all, you didn’t do it. So, the real question becomes…how hard is it to find a hot chick who wants to get paid to live with me in my fancy loft overlooking Central Park. And I already know the answer to that. I’ve had women volunteering to do that for years for free!”

About The Author

My Photo

Komal Kant is the author of IMPOSSIBLE, FALLING FOR HADIE, and the upcoming WRONG SIDE OF TOWN. She currently lives in Sydney, but wishes she lived all over the world. You can tell she is weird because her days are filled with talking to imaginary characters and trying to justify choosing Stefan over Damon.

Komal talks too much, laughs too loud, sings out-of-tune, and generally says inappropriate things at appropriate times. She is obsessed with zombies, so The Walking Dead is probably my favourite show at the moment. She is overly enthusiastic about video games, Spiderman, Batman films, Byronic heroes, horror movies, baking, and pretty shoes.

Haven From The Storm by Sarah Dosher

Wow what a ride this book took me on. Sarah the author really knows how to pull on the old heartstrings. She showed us a young girls ability to overcome her hurt and struggle and how she learns to survive.

Haven from the Storm (Storms of Life #1)Lily Grace knows she could always count on Dean till she started falling for him and he breaks her heart. A storm hits killing her mother and older brother leaving her with her father.

Dean ran off after the funeral and her father started physically abusing her. She realised the only person she could rely on is herself.

After 4 years Dean Haven returns,  wanting to build bridges and win back Lily's heart, but what Dean failed to release is that might be harder than he thinks.

Lily and Dean both survived the storm and learned to cope with their demons. In time they both grasp that they have to trust one another to move on from their past and gain control of their love and future.

I enjoyed the book and found the characters were well written, you could really feel the pain by the way Sarah writes. Hard, sensitive topics are the main focus in this book, but with massage of survival and courage...

I love Quotes...

“If you’re going to make me cry, at least be there to wipe away the tears…”

“keep in mind that even those who love you can unknowningly inflict pain when they themselves are hurting”

"That young lady has been in hell these last four years and you, Mr. Dean Haven, played a starring role."

"I wanted to run back to him so he could make me worthy of his love, make me feel whole again. But I'm not, I'm not worthy of anyone's love."
