Bared to You by Sylvia Day Book Review

After Fifty Shades I needed to find another book. I came across this book and what can I say - I could not put the thing down...

Eva is a young woman who moved to New York to start a new life and try to stand on her own two feet. Her best friend and roommate Cary, who moved to NY to be with her, is sweet, lovely, and a bisexual guy. They have known each other for years but never had sex...because they want to know each other for years to come. The day before Eva starts her new job as an assistant for an ad agency, she walks through NY so she can get more familiar with the big city, and to see how long it would take to get to work. She gets to the big building called Crossfire where the ad agency is housed.

On the way out of Crossfire she stops and helps a woman pick up her change from the floor, where she lost her balance and fell on her ass in front of the sex god himself (Gideon Cross), but at that moment she does not know his name. He is just a hot guy who picks her up off the floor.

I would describe Eva as a strong, independent woman. Yes her past plays a big part in her future but with time and therapy she becomes the person in this book. It was good to read that she was normal as in she had curves, liked her food, and liked to have a drink.

Gideon Cross is a millionaire who owns Crossfire and other buildings around the city as well, he is only in his late twenties and has worked hard building his empire. He does not mix business with pleasure, he has female friends, who he would meet up with and have dinner with, and then he has women that are just for his pleasure. Then Eva comes along and turns his world upside down. He pursues, her making it very obvious he wants to f–k her brains out, but she brushes him off and tells him she’s not interested, even though she is (every woman needs her secrets).

In the end they both want more for each other, they know how hard building a relationship would be, given their childhood abuse and them still having some psychological problems they both need to work on. But they are willing to try.

I love the style of how this book is written, the way she goes in to great detail on the characters is great. The sex in this book is hot, smoking hot comes to mind, none of the BDSM sex, but just sex, the way the sex scenes are shown to us at different times show the control that they each need. Because of their past, control is a big thing in this book and because they wholeheartedly love and trust each other they both drop their level of control to keep each other.

I must say this is another book that I could not put down, my curiosity went wild, I love this book. Sylvia Day is an excellent author. Who could write a book on two damaged people and show how in a way they fix each other with love and passion. They are sole mates, they complete each other..

                                        My favourite quotes

“I’ve always seen you, angel. From the moment you found me, I’ve seen nothing but you.”

“You definitely have the voice for phone sex, but I've got to go. I have a date with my vibrator.”

"Oh, Eva." Cross spoke my name in a decadent purr. "You're determined to drive me to my knees, aren't you? What will it take to talk you into a threesome with B.O.B.”

“keep looking at me like that,"

he warned, leaning casually into the counter and sipping his coffee.
"see what happens.”

“I must’ve wished for you so hard and so often you had no choice but to come true.”

“I want there to be happily-ever-afters for the fucked-up crowd.”

“Why do I have to get up?"

"Because when you're flat on your back you're not on your feet."

"Wow. That was deep,”

“Cary rocked back on his heels and twirled one index finger around another in a sign meaning, wrapped around your finger. Only fair, I thought, since he was wrapped around my heart.”

“Sprawled flat on my ass.”

“Chicks before dicks, and all that.”

“let's celebrate”

All Fifty Shades!!!!

Where do I start? Let’s go with Fifty Shades Of Grey. I started reading and I could not put it down. The story just takes you away, showing you this young innocent women, Anastasia, who had locked herself away with University and work, never really letting herself go. Until she meets Mr Grey, CEO. Then she starts feelng things that she’s never felt before, eager for life. Then you have Mr Christian Grey, wealthy bachelor, who did not have the best start in life, but as he got older he started learning how to be dominant over women. He was being dominant, but was still broken, until he meets Anastasia. While I was reading this book it was not the sex, whips or chains that kept me reading, it was the untold love. The story shows how much he desires this woman, wants her to be submissive to him, and later realises how innocent she is. Teaching her how good sex is and putting a lot of kinky fuckery in to it.

Fifty Shades Darker - Well what can I say, put aside all the sex in this book and what you have is a man and a woman learning to fall in love with each other, and to trust each other. Put the sex back in and you have an ex sub trying to kill someone plus a jealous old woman who keeps putting her wooden spoon in. Think I have covered all bases in this one.

Fifty Shades Freed - Now they are man and wife you would of thought they would get a quiet life and I am not talking about the kinky fuckery. Anyway Ana's ex-boss goes crazy, taking no prisoners as he goes after the Grey family.
Getting married to the man of her dreams was not the only thing to come to Ana, a bouncing baby came too.

Before writing this blog I read all 3 books again and I found that I loved the story even more the second time around. It was mycuriosity that kept me reading these books the first time round.

The only thing I found was that in Fifty Shades Darker the ending seemed to be reused to me. I would have loved it if they had gone in to the story more about Ana's pregnancy, then Kate getting married and so on.

I do hope E L James comes out with a fourth book and I hope they bring out some books on Christian's perspective.

Well I hope you liked you my Blog on Fifty Shades, and I will be back soon. xoxo
