I really enjoyed this book. We all know
that by the title that the ending is not a happy one, but I still
liked the story. I loved the fact it was written from the male side
of things. This is the 4th book I have read by Nelle and I was not
disappointed.
Ryan Madewell is hot, sexy and comes
from a very rich family. His father is a cold-hearted workaholic that
has been grooming Ryan to take over the business but he has no
interest in doing what so ever. His Mother spends most of her time
drinking and being very unpleasant.
Ryan works as a reporter for an art
magazine, he does the job but he knows his heart is not in it. What
he dreams of is becoming a book writer. but first he needs to learn
how to write from the heart.
On his way to do some research for the
magazine he goes to an art museum where he runs in to Allee, a tour
guide, and he gets her to show him around.
Allee Adair has no one in her life, her
parents died a long time ago so Allee is a strong women who has
learned how to take care of her self.
Allee has to work as a tour guide in an
art museum, that she loves, and as a "masseuse" to pay back
her loans from when she was studying. (Ok I am not going to say any
more on that or it will give the game way.) Allee has big dreams of
becoming a curator for an art museum in Paris. Everything she has
done she did to survive, and it is her inner strength that keeps her
going.
They both have this instant connection
and despite all the secrets they manage to rescue their relationship.
The passion and desire they have for one another is what keeps them
strong. Their love is most pure and nothing in this world can change
it, one of a kind.
Jen's Thoughts
I was reading the last half of this at
work on my night shift and I finally finished it at 5 in the morning
with tears running down my face, this book surely get your emotions
going. Nelle is an amazing writer, the characters each hold their
own. There is a lot of steamy sex in this book and it was good to
hear it from the male side of things. The whole flow of the book was
fabulous and heartbreaking all at once.
