Pleasure before business. Always.
Connor Montgomery doesn't give a damn about his world-renowned last name or the endless list of women who only want him for his billions. There's only one woman for him... his best friend since childhood, Faith. Unfortunately, as a vital employee of his family's company, she's beyond off-limits.

Too bad he's never been one to follow the rules.

Faith Holt is in desperate need of money... for all the wrong reasons. Stuck between coming clean and falling off the face of the earth, she comes up with a crazy, over the top plan. But to pull it off, she realizes that the only person who can help is the last person she wants to involve since it may require crossing the line.

Too bad she can't stop herself from resisting Connor and his wicked ways.

After years of being "just friends" and looking out for each other in the best of ways, Connor and Faith may have to decide what's worse: resisting the temptation that's always existed between them or finally giving in to it.

This is a contemporary 'friends to lovers' billionaire romance.

Excerpt

“You can’t get rid of me that easily.” Connor struggled to keep his tone light. He had no idea what had gotten into Faith… unless her plans were code for a date with a new boyfriend. Something she had every right to pursue, especially given that he hadn’t made a move on her.
Ever.
Their relationship meant too much to him. Faith was too precious to potentially lose, even if it meant he suffered in the meantime. However, that didn’t mean he liked the fact that she was looking for something he couldn’t possibly give her, not even with the billions he owned.
“I’m not trying to get rid of you, Mr.—”
“Connor. I think we’re past formalities, don’t you?” he said, peeved that she’d treat him differently because of his last name.
She leaned forward, her hair like a dark waterfall pooling on the top of the counter between them. “I’m at work and I have work to do.”
“I don’t care.” He slashed his hand through the air. “You’re using my last name to put a wall between us.”
“Here, there is a wall between us,” she said, her tone insistent. Her brows crashed together as she lowered her voice, “What’s gotten into you?”
He avoided meeting her gaze. “Are you dating someone?” He all but growled the question like an animal. He knew the day would come that she’d find someone to replace him, but it felt like a knife in the back.
“I have plans to go on a date.” She crossed her arms over her chest. “You should do the same thing. Heck, I’ll help you find someone. Okay?”
No, it wasn’t okay because he’d already fucking found his perfect match and she stood in front of him. “Pass.”
She sighed thickly. “You’re being unreasonable.”
“I’m being honest,” he snapped.
“You’re being a jerk and that’s not like you.”
“Maybe I’ve changed.”
“In the last ten minutes?” She shook her head. “I don’t think so.”
He both loved and hated how well she knew him. “I have to go.” He stalked away, tossing over his shoulder, “Best of luck on your date, Ms. Holt.”
“Don’t you walk away from me, Connor Aiden Montgomery ,” she called after him.
He stopped, slowing turning, bracing for the impact of this woman who truly didn’t give a damn about his last name.
Faith raised her dark brows at him, her pale blue eyes flashing. Her cheeks were pink with anger. In her black pencil skirt, bright green blouse and conservative heels, she looked every inch the librarian. And she was so damn beautiful that it made his heart ache.
She marched up to him, her finger wagging at him. “You need to apologize.”
He exhaled. “I’m sorry.”
“That’s better.” She smiled up at him, her plump lips a temptation that took every ounce of his will to resist. “When we get together for dinner tonight, I expect you to not only cook but to be in a much better mood.”
“Yes, ma’am.”
She narrowed her eyes. “Stop trying to distract me with your Scottish accent.”
He gave her an innocent smile. “Wouldn’t dream of it, lass.”
“Now, I have to go back to work.” She adjusted his tie, fussing over him and he loved every damn second of it. “Are we okay?”
“Yes.” He grabbed her hand, pressing to his heart. “I promise to be on my best behavior this evening.”
“Good because I have high standards, and I need to know your opinion of the guy that I have plans with this weekend.”
His gut twisted. “Consider me at your service.” Only he knew, for the first time, he wouldn’t be able to be completely honest with her.
In fact, for the first time during their decades of friendship, he was jealous.
