Indie Author Event ~ Christine Zolendz & 2 Giveaways!!

Fall From Grace
(Mad World Series - Book 1)
A paranormal rockstar romance.

I’m finally home after struggling through my brother’s illness and death. But, home is definitely a bit different. My best friend (the only person alive now that knows my secret) has a new boyfriend; and he has a friend. Shane Maxton: bad boy, tattooed rock god, eye candy extraordinaire. He is also New York City’s most arrogant, self-serving, son of a, well, a definite one-night stand kind of a guy.
But, it doesn’t matter to me because I’ve spent my existence looking for the love of my life, my angel. And, there is nothing that Shane Maxton can do to change that.
Saving Grace
(Mad World Series - Book 2)
A paranormal rockstar romance.

After spending over 2,000 years being a lost soul looking for the angel I was forbidden to fall in love with, I finally found him. Lucky for me he has taken up residence inside the hot body of NYC’s local bad boy, tattooed rock star, Shane Maxton. Turns out, not only is he absolutely perfect, so is the whole Grace Taylor life that I’m stuck in. The only problem is Gabriel. An archangel who wants me all to himself so he kind of kidnaps me. Now I have to find my way back and hope everything works out…
Genre: Adult Contemporary Romance/Paranormal Romance
(NOT appropriate for younger readers)
Story contains foul language, sex, drinking and rock and roll!

Warning: If you did not read Fall From Grace (Book 1) this book might be a little bit confusing!

Scars and Songs
(Mad World Series – Book 3)
A paranormal rockstar romance.

Shane Maxton is front man for New York City’s popular rock band, Mad World. But he has secrets; he’s not what everybody thinks he is.

He comes from an ancient world, from a different time, when angels walked among men.

Read the story, through Shane’s eyes, of his forbidden love, his fall from grace and his inner turmoil from living with the irrational emotions of being human.

Disclaimer #1: This is the story of Mad World Books 1 & 2, Fall From Grace and Saving Grace, written through the point of view of Shane Maxton.
IT IS THE SAME Love STORY of Grace and Shane. It’s just Shane’s turn to tell it to you, it’s everything you’ve read before and a whole lot more.
Disclaimer #2: This story contains rock and roll, angels doing naughty things, violence, cursing, drinking alcohol, substance abuse, sexual situations, and irritating scenes that will make you want to hurl your eReader or book out the window. It’s not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

~ SCARS AND SONGS ~
Shane Maxton’s Point of View

The night started the way it always did, the guys and me meeting up at the bar before a gig. A crowd of girls sat at the table next to us as we horribly tried pick-up line after pick-up line on them. We all made a game out of it, because really, after a show every girl that had said no to us would be on their knees in front of us later, mouthing how great we were. Every girl.  Any girl.  No problem.  I had yet to meet a girl who knew the word no.  Not when the guys from my band, Mad World, were around anyway.
Tucker, who wasnʼt even in the band was the best at the game, but thatʼs because he just had the worst pick up lines in the world, I think he had a book somewhere where he wrote them all down.
“Great legs, what time do they open?” Tucker called out to the girls laughing.
Chuckling, I chimed in, “If I flip a coin, what are the chances of me getting head?” The girls made disgusted faces in our direction, shaking their heads in disbelief.
Alex, my rhythm guitarist and keyboardist, elbowed me in the gut to listen to his line. “Hey, how about you sit on my face and let me eat my way to your heart?”  He shoved his tongue between two of his fingers and wiggled it towards the girls sexually.  I laughed harder.
Brayden, my bassist, snorted like a pig and beer shot right out of his nose. Howls of laughter rang out from our table. Then he called over, “I got the F-C-K. All I need is U!”
Ethan my drummer just laughed along with us, he never participated in our immature games. Heʼd be the first one of us divorced with 2.5 kids and a dog.
Probably a freaking cat too.  Freaking pussy.
Tucker rolled another out, “If this bar is a meat market, you must be the prime rib!”
That caused the girls to stand up and move to another table farther away from us idiots. All except one light haired girl who flipped me her middle finger, but stayed firmly planted to her seat, crooking her lips into a sexy little smile.  Easy.
I got up from my seat and leaned over her table, right in front of her face, “I would love to,” I whispered. I held my hand out for her, and just like I thought she would, she grabbed it with sweaty palms.
I took her into one of the back rooms.  It was as good a place as any to get laid, most of the time I was too uninspired by the easy women that opened up their legs for me to even bother to take them home.  And they were all easy.  I didn’t even have to look anymore, they just jumped on my arms after a show.  Let’s be honest, they jumped right on our dicks right after a show, no need to sugar coat it.  It is what it is.  Easy.
The girl walked right into the storage closet lifted her skirt to her waist and bent over, ready.  She wasn’t even wearing any fucking underwear. Holy shit.  Maybe I should use two condoms with this one if she’s that fucking easy.  She leaned over a shelf full of cases of beer, stretched her chin over her shoulder and smiled, “My names Crystal.”  Now she tells me?
“Hey, hi.  Nice to, uh, meet you,” I laughed.  What the hell did I care what her name was?  I was never going to use it.
She turned her head around spreading her legs wider, “God I can’t wait to tell all my girlfriends I hooked up with the lead singer from Mad World.  Those girls I was sitting with just now, I just work with them, they don’t know how famous you are.”  And there it was, the reason my cock got so much action, I was Shane Maxton, lead singer of Mad World.  Famous.  Yeah.  No one knew who the hell I really was.

 Get To Know You Interview

What are the most important attributes to remaining sane as a writer?

For me, I write to stay sane.  When I get an idea for a story or a character my mind races, and the setting, plot and characters really come to life for me.  They will honestly drive me insane if I don't write them.

What is the most demeaning thing said about you as a writer?

When my second book, Saving Grace, was published I had a woman who contacted me and wrote some horrible things about me personally because of the contents of the book.  There was a lot of drinking taking place in my story and she called me a "slut slamming alcoholic who doesn't know facts about angels,"  she also went on to say many more demeaning and hateful things, none of them being true.  I don't even drink.  I talk about drinking and stuff, but coffee is always my choice.  My characters drink a lot because the story takes place in a bar and they are all 22-23 years old, and that's just what the characters did.  It's fiction.  Not a memoir.  It's that simple.  I'm a person that believes everyone is allowed their opinions and to share them, I let my actions and my life experiences speak for themselves.  I had nothing to prove to this woman, I know who and what I am.

How do you react to a bad review of one of your books?

If it's constructive criticism, then I love reading it to better my craft and to see what readers want.  But if it's a personal attack about things I can't change then I just let it roll off my back.  Everyone has the rights to speak on how they feel, no matter what I'll always chose to be the best person and writer that I could be, not what someone else thinks I should be.

What was the hardest part of writing your book?

The hardest part for me is finding the time.  I have young children and one is always on my lap while I'm typing.

Who designed the covers?

My three covers for the Mad World Series are from the extremely talented Sarah Hansen at OkayCreations.
